Mercury Arising Documentary

For the last moth I have been in pre-production for a documentary  that we finally began shooting last week called Mercury Arising. The film is about mercury toxicity in the US and how it is effecting our health and environment. Going into this documentary I thought I knew a lot about mercury, but after interviewing some Doctors, Dentists and scientist in the field my knowledge on the subject has massively grown. However, as I don’t want to impose my ideas on you, I will let the experts in our film do the talking. In the meantime I wanted to share some stills from our shoot as well as give you a few links if you are interested in finding out more about mercury, and some of the people we have been talking to.

    Hi Erin,

All I can say is WOW! I remember a number of years ago Mercury poisoning was on people’s radar screen as a point of concern. [Not certain of all the details.] There was some information about not eating fish, etc., etc. However, then the topic just dropped. I am glad that you are undertaking this project and will be informing the public utilizing your creative genius. Thank you for your fantastic work! Please keep us posted on the progress of this documentary. Keep Rockin’it EKellyGirl!!!

    Lots-o-love,
    Dana

I was just forwarded a great article on mercury levels in Tuna that you might find educational: http://news.yahoo.com/s/hsn/20100205/hl_hsn/testsshowtoptunabrandshavehighmercurylevels
Its scary that these are above the “safe level” yet they are still allowed to sell it!!

    yummy !
Thanks for all those informations ! I think that what’s the most scarying about this article is to know that tuna is one example out of many ! Industrial foods companies are poisoning ourselves and government let them do it ! It’s a shame ! Personally, I’ve stopped buying and eating those “shit” and keep eating organic foods. Unlike what most of poeple think, it is not more expensive cause you re-learn to eat only what earth provides you and what your body really needs and stop eating all the transformed products that agro-foods sector invades us. When you read the ingredients of those products it is scarying to notice that there is no natural ingredients anymore. We are became cows!
Just wanted to share my point of view… Have a good meal ! :)

the levels of mercury in any kind of seafood are crazy. there is a reason they tell pregnant women not to eat it. they say the best kind of seafood to get is european farm raised. im into the organic stuff, just seems safer :)
